To upgrade R&D competency and quality to establish the proprietary technology.
In order to respond to the fierce international competition, CPDC made the decision to establish a R & D team in 2000 in order to effectively integrate its limited resources. Nowadays, Da-Sheh R & D Center and Hsiaokang R & D/Engineering Technology Center are in successful operation. In addition to numerous outstanding R&D talents, CPDC keeps investing in novel and precise R&D facilities and building a better research environment in order to upgrade R&D competency and quality to establish the proprietary technology.

Since the establishment of its own R&D team, CPDC has been awarded dozens of domestic and foreign patents, and the patent technology has been applied to the production lines. For example, in the field of catalyst research, the new catalyst has been successfully applied to the manufacturing process of major products (such as GAC, CPL etc) and established the premium position of CPDC in production technology. Moreover, the same technology platform can also be applied to the manufacturing process of other related products. The examples are shown below:
New Product Development:
1. Development of Nylon nanocomposite material and the application to the production of functional textile chip.
2. Co-development of CD Nylon and high shrinkage Nylon
Debottlenecking and Capacity Expansion:
1.Development of new catalyst and aiding agent and application in production line. Successfully increase the productivity of GAC.
2.Co-development of the new cyclohexane oxidation process and enhance the efficiency of oxidation and reduce the production cost.
Reducing the production of by-product/upgrade the add-value of by-product:
1.Development of recovery technology which can be used to recover the valuable components from CPL waste liquid thus to reduce the waste volume and increase the product value.
2.Developing a method which increases the production of hydrogen cyanide in the propylene ammoxidation process
Technology innovation, product diversification and development of high value products will be our future R&D goals.
The future R&D work for CPDC will continuously devote to the related technical development of 3 major products, working with manufacturing plant closely, involving in the improvement and design of manufacturing process. These increase the productivity, product quality and reduce the raw material and energy consumption, waste volume and increase the value of by-product. Furthermore, emphasis has always been placed on developments of new manufacturing technologies and high value products such as specialty chemicals, optoelectronic materials, and engineering plastics which raise the production efficiency of our plants and lead to new business opportunities in potential markets respectively. Technology innovation, product diversification and development of high value products will be our future R&D goals.
