PC has good mechanical strength, temperature resistance, fire resistance, dimensional stability and good electrical insulation characteristics

  • Good mechanical strength
  • The impact fatigue resistance of PC is poor, but the reinforced strength of PC material can be increased to about 3 times by adding glass fiber.

  • Good fireproof property
  • It has UL94 V-2 flame retardancy without additives, and the flame retardancy can reach UL94 V-0 by adding fire retardant.

  • Good dimensional stability
  • Because PC material has the characteristic of low water absorption, the dimensional stability will be better after adding glass fiber material.

  • Good electrical insulation characteristic
  • The electrical properties of PC, such as volume inherent impedance, insulation failure strength and arc resistance, are quite good, which are high among the five engineering plastics.

  • Good heat resistance
  • The heat resistance of PC is excellent, and PC with 30% glass fiber can be used for a long time in a wide temperature range (-60℃ ~130℃)

  • Good wear resistance
  • PC has good sliding wear characteristics and self-lubrication. by adding glass fiber, the wear resistance characteristics can be improved
