Competing in the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards, CPDC’s non-financial disclosure has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year. CPDC won the “2017 Tenth Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards” – Traditional Manufacturing TOP50 Report Award. In the morning of November 23rd , CPDC chairman Ko Ming Lin attended the “2017 Tenth Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards” ceremony and represented the company to receive the award. Chairman Lin expressed corporate sustainability as a key to maintaining industrial competitiveness and CPDC embraces the principles of “outstanding innovation, respect, and sustainable operations” to face the economic, environmental, and social challenges of the future.
To encourage companies to improve the quality of sustainable corporate operations and the availability of governance-related information disclosure, and to strengthen the awareness of corporate efforts of maintaining sustainability development, environmental friendliness, and social charity efforts, the Taiwan Sustainable Energy Research Foundation from 2008 has held the “TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award” acknowledging companies with excellence in sustainability information disclosure and outstanding sustainability performance. The “TCSA Sustainability Awards” is a representative corporate sustainability performance showcase platform, achieving appreciation and participation of corporations nationwide. This year, 143 companies participated, submitting a total of 341 nominations with 67 companies with outstanding sustainability development activities winning awards.
CPDC has a long-term commitment in promoting corporate social responsibility and have disclosed CSR promotional results in the corporate social responsibility report. This year, being the fourth year of winning the award and breaking into the TOP50, further demonstrates CPDC’s information disclosure quality and continual improvement. CPDC will continue to make progress in corporate social responsibility governance and disclosures in the future. Promoting corporate strategies echoing the United Nation’s SDGs, planning integrated reporting, and completing CDP carbon disclosure assessments, should provide stakeholders with a more comprehensive understanding of CPDC’s financial and non-financial information.
