In order to implement corporate social responsibility, CPDC arranged a special charity plan to send love to the rural areas. “1314 Thousand People Public Welfare Park Party” was held at the front of the road beside the old dormitory area of the former Taiwan Alkaline Anshun Plant on the morning of February 24th, which was the 9th of the Chinese New Year. CPDC’s Chairman Ko-Ming Lin visited the selling booths together with the social welfare institutions and disadvantaged groups. Mr. Ko-Ming Lin said that CPDC had always been committed to working closely with the neighbors. In order to fulfill corporate social responsibility, CPDC has spent more than 2 billion to carry out pollution remediation work. Each year, 1.5 million budget is also provided for the use of Siangong, Sicao and Lu-er villages as local construction.

Working together with local residents, prospering places, and living together with the environment has always been the Company's main goal. Through such a charity event, CPDC hopes that it could inspire others to care about the overall construction and development of the rural areas. The guests attending the public welfare park party included the deputy secretary general of Tainan Municipal Government Hsien-Wei Lee, the legislator Wei-Che Huang, the officer of the Annan District Sheng-Chi Yeng, the officer the third division director of the Tainan Municipal Police Department Shih-Ming Lu, and director of the Taijiang National Park Management Office Deng-Liang You.

This public welfare party served more than 300 people including the Tainan Private Maji Home, the Tainan City Mentally Handicapped Care Association and the Chaoxing Social Welfare Charity Foundation. In order to serve these more than 300 little angels, CPDC initiated a team consisted of 100 volunteers to accompany them. CPDC collected all kinds of second hand household goods, clothing, and stationery to the stalls to sell, and donated all the incomes to the nearby local schools or disadvantaged organizations. Although there were many love stalls, including the goods of the New Year, the pastry food from the shelter factories, the single mother's home made cooking, etc., but the most popular good among the children was DIY marshmallows.

At the end of last year, 156 students from the nearby five rural elementary schools completed a 67-meter large-scale painted fence in the local area. The six graffiti on the walls were filled with the religious and ecological culture of the Taijiang area. It was like a large-scale three-dimensional story book. The graffiti walls have become a new landmark for the cyclist around the island or tourist passing by the walls to take pictures. CPDC also invited the students of the five local schools who participated painting last year to revisit their graffiti works. The "Graffiti Wall Vote" campaign was also held on site. Anyone who took a photo or voted for the graffiti walls could have a small gift. Many children brought their parents to come to take pictures. By eating, drinking and doing public welfare, everyone had a good time.
