CPDC Dashe Plant donates storage tank equipment to Southern District Toxic Disaster Response Center

CPDC has been working hard for industry-academic cooperation for a long time. Being one of the major companies in the petrochemical industry, CPDC also attaches great importance to emergency training related to poisonous disasters. This time CPDC conducted an industry-academic cooperation with the Southern District Toxic Disaster Response Center, which was entrusted by EPA and belonged to National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. CPDC Dashe Plant donated three storage tanks to the South District Toxic Disaster Response Center to assist the academic institutions in emergency response training of poisonous disasters and talent cultivation, fully demonstrating CPDC's inputs in corporate social responsibility.

Vice President Chen and Dashe Plant Director Li of CPDC were invited to attend the donation storage equipment ceremony held by National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology on July 19. President Roger C. Y. Chen and Vice President Jenq-Renn Chen of National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology personally attended the meeting and gave CPDC a certificate of appreciation and a trophy. The two sides exchanged opinions on the issues of petrochemical industry and emergency response to the disaster. The practice of industry and the theory of academic stirred up new thinking and new practices for industry-academic cooperation through this activity.

After the ceremony and the luncheon, a group of people were guided by Vice President Jenq-Renn Chen to visit the environment and equipments of Southern District Toxic Disaster Response Center. CPDC felt honored to cooperate with National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology through storage tanks donation to provide assistance in the emergency training practice and talent cultivation. In the future, CPDC will continue to care about the social environment, dedicate to environmental protection and disaster prevention and gradually implement corporate social responsibility.
