Ammonium Sulfate (AS) is the main nitrogen source which is used in agriculture and can be used either as ground or top fertilizer. AS is highly soluble in water and the freed ammonium ions readily adhere to soil particles, which generates rapid soil enrichment and is especially suitable for rice cultivation, thus resulting in an increase in production yield.
AS can be used on its own or in compound fertilizers, for example blended with phosphorous and potassium compounds. The sulfur content in AS provides nutrition for crops, stimulating growth and increasing yield.
